Why we exist

Ability iseverywhere.Opportunityis not.

During our early outreach, we discovered something both hopeful and heartbreaking.

For approximately Ksh 20,000 (about $200), a student can be sponsored for an entire year of secondary school education.

While this amount may seem modest, it remains out of reach for many families. As a result, countless bright and motivated students are forced to abandon their education — not because of lack of ability, but because of lack of opportunity.

The DWD Foundation exists to close this gap. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a future filled with possibility, regardless of their financial situation.

To make education accessible to children from disadvantaged communities by mobilizing resources, sponsorship, and community support that remove financial barriers to schooling.

What we do

Staying in school takes more than fees. Our programs remove the barriers around a child's education — from uniforms and books to mentors, meals and a clear view of what's possible next.

    Education Sponsorship

    We support students from low-income families by helping cover school fees, uniforms, and learning materials so they can stay in school and complete their education.

    School Supplies Support

    Through donations and partnerships, we provide essential supplies such as books, uniforms, and stationery to students who lack basic learning resources.
